Q: What is JBU?
A: JBU stands for Just Between Us.
Q: Who is “Just Between Us” for?
A: Just Between Us is for the credentialed women, ministry wives, women in ministry, and widows of ministers of the NCN District.
Q: Is JBU primarily for pastor’s wives?
A: JBU began as a ministry for pastors wives. Ernestine Vickery, Superintendent Bill Vickery’s wife, held the first pastors wives retreat in 1978 at Mount Hermon in Scotts Valley, CA. Ward and Dixie Tanneberg were the speakers! Today, JBU encompasses our districts credentialed women, ministry wives, women in ministry, and widows of credentialed ministers.

A: JBU has connecting points throughout the year in the sections. The Main Event is the one event where we all come together for two days.
Q: Who can attend the Main Event?
A: Any woman who meets one of these criteria: a credential holder, a wife of a credentialed minister, or a widow of former ministers. And if an individual is a non-credentialed pastoral staff member or married to a non-credentialed pastoral staff member of a church or ministry, they are also eligible to attend.
