Dr. Samuel Huddleston
Superintendent of the Northern California and Nevada District Assemblies of God was elected to office in June 2026, following the untimely death of Rev. Dr. Bret L. Allen, whom he had the privilege of serving alongside since 2016. Dr. Samuel has faithfully served NCN District as Assistant Superintendent from 2004-2026. He also serves as an Executive Presbyter of the Assemblies of God, providing spiritual leadership and governance for the Fellowship at the national level.
For more than four decades, Dr. Huddleston has devoted his life to proclaiming the hope of Jesus Christ and shepherding leaders with wisdom, humility, and unwavering faith. A 1980 graduate of Bethany College in Santa Cruz, California, he continued his theological studies at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary before earning a Master of Arts in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. In 2006, he received his Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Regent University.
From 1981 to 1988, Dr. Huddleston served in youth ministry under Pastor Terry Inman at Church on the Hill (now The Hill) in Vallejo, California. He later served as Executive Director of a statewide nonprofit organization in partnership with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation before returning to Bethany College as Dean of Students under Dr. Everett Wilson.
In 1993, Dr. Huddleston and his wife, Linda, founded Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship in Benicia, California. What began with six families gathered in their living room grew into a thriving congregation, where he faithfully served as Lead Pastor until his election as Assistant Superintendent in 2004.
Dr. Huddleston is the author of Five Years to Life, the story of God’s transforming work in his life after surrendering it to Christ as a young man, a journey defined not by past mistakes, but by God’s faithfulness, restoration, and redeeming love.
Dr. Huddleston and Linda reside in Rancho Cordova, California, near their three married children, Royce, Andre, and Ericka, their thirteen grandchildren, and their two great-grandchildren, with more blessings sure to come.
