Testing of Abraham - part 4 Impossibility

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. James 1:3

1.  Change

2.  Uncertainty

3.  Delay

4.  Today I want to discuss the test of perceived impossibility.

Luke 18:27 But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.

Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?”

Hebrews 6:18 "so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.

With that as our foundation – look at Hebrews 11:11

11 By faith Abraham, even though he was past age--and Sarah herself was barren-was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.  Hebrews 11:11

7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built an altar there to the Lord , who had appeared to him.  Gen 12:7

More Specific in Gen 18:

10 Then the Lord said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.
