Debbie Heden is the WM Director for the NorCal/Nevada District of the Assemblies of God. She has held the position for fifteen years after serving under the previous two WM Directors on their advisory board. There is nothing that stirs up Debbie’s passion more than witnessing women of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds coming together and becoming all that God created them to be. She is a firm believer that Spirit-filled leadership is a catalyst for positive change, both in the church and the individual.

Debbie approaches ministry as an opportunity to inspire others.  This includes hosting an annual women’s conference (designed for women of all ages to experience an encounter with Jesus) and several events throughout the year equipping women in this great district. Her greatest ministry strengths are effectively training leaders, strategically developing spiritual gifts, and hosting/planning events.

Debbie wears many hats as an ordained minister, a licensed cosmetologist, and a Pastor’s wife. Debbie and her husband have pastored Hilltop Community Church in Richmond, CA for the past 39 years. She is a proud mother of two sons, two daughter-in-laws, two grand daughters, and two grandsons, who are the joy of her life.

This is an exciting day as we see the multigenerational vision unfold. Women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds coming together for a common purpose. I know the Lord has great plans that Heʼs been storing up for such a time as this. It is our prayer that everything we do for Him comes from a heart of knowing Him, loving Him and then serving Him. We have a rich history of women who have put their hands to the plow to bless, educate, rescue, feed and resource others around the world. How amazing it is when we join forces and do together what we could not accomplish on our own.

Area Leaders

The Area Leader is the Women’s Ministry Representative in each section. She is the vital link between the District and the local church. Every year, the Area Leader hosts Sisterhood Events that encourage, equip and empower the women in their region. They also coordinate the sectional shopping lists for the WM Boutique, which supports missionaries with household items. Your Area Leader is determined by where your church is located.
