What is credentialing?

 

We believe in recognizing the Divine Call of God on a person’s life. Credentialing allows us to do just that. The Assemblies of God has three levels of credentials: certificate of ministry, ministry license, and ordination. Each level requires different amounts of education and experience. Credentialing is more than recognition. It is a connection to a family of ministers and organization that provides support, covering, and accountability.

 

What are credentials?

Assemblies of God credentials are an official and legal recognition of a minister of the Gospel. The Assemblies of God has three levels of credentials: Certificate of Ministry, Ministry Licnese, & Ordination.

Recognition of calling. Efficient helpers in Gospel work who devote part of their time to Christian service. They serve under pastoral supervision and are actively engaged in some aspect of ministry.

Ministry License
Ministry License

Commitment to calling. This level shows clear evidence of a divine call, character and preparation suitable for that calling, practical ministry experience, and an evident commitment to devote one’s life to proclamation of the Gospel.

Ordination
Ordination

Proven ministry through your calling. Ordination is for those who are of mature experience and whose ministries are recognized and proven. Candidates must be at least 23 years old and have been engaged in active full-time ministry for at least 2 consecutive years.

Why credentialing matters

We believe that there is a spiritual and practical significance to pursuing Ordination and credentialing in general. As we pursue our Divine Call, we believe that we can also grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with both God and man.
